i think it,s one of the best books on spirituality i have read for some time.it needs to be read slowly and more than once to get the benefit from it.highly recommended

Finding Sactuary - Rated 5/5
I found this book to be very insightful, practical and very 'does what it says on the tin'. An excellent guide in making space for God in your life.

Each chapter includes a list of suggested websites and books that are relevant to the subject of each section. I for one will be doing lots of book shopping with these suggestions in mind.

Finding Santuary - Rated 5/5
One of the best self help books out there. Finding Sanctuary is about finding peace. Written by those who know, monks who are practiced in separating themselves from the world of worry and stress, with a few hundred years of tradition to back them.
Not really a religious book, I believe only one of its chapters concentrates on belief, it covers all areas and also questions how the reader can find happiness in the modern materialistic world.
Finding Sanctuary is very simple, very accessible and very effective. And you don't need the building to make it work for you.

An excellent work - Rated 5/5
Many thanks to Abbot Jamison for this wonderful and practical book. Highly recommended reading for anyone wishing to explore prayer in a busy world.

A good calm read, more of your real thoughts please - Rated 4/5
I enjoyed watching The Monastry, so I had to read Abbot Jamison's book. He came across as impressive and deeply knowledgable. The books started off well with a study of people's conditioning of being 'busy' as opposed to simply living through thought and from a spiritual cleansing perspective, he cleverly integrates modern life with modern spirituality. However I was somewhat unclear about Jamison's discussions deeper into the book. It is well worth reading, but for the real tools of spiritual tools, I still recommend Conversations with God series. By Neale Donald Walsch. If your life is a mess and a diaster zone, Walsch's books will enlighten you on how you made it that way and how to recreate your life anew. However from the traditional church Jamison is a great communicator and a great orator for connecting the traditional with the modern spiritual writing now available.
