This book firstly interested me because of the title, as this is a subject I have been researching. The fact that the most popular mayor of the biggest city in the USA who faced 9/11 first hand, only made the purchase an easier decision.

If you are at all interested how the mayor of New York dealt with the management of the city before and after 9/11, and the general running of the city, there is little doubt that you will find the book both an interesting insight and enjoyable. Guiliani comes across as a tough but fair leader in a time when New York needed one most, and his love for the city and the people shine through the text.

He applies his beliefs and leadership skills to show the reader how he became the most popular mayor in the history of the city, and not only because he was a character who people respected and liked, but because he pulled the city out of decline in the early 1990's and into one of the leading cities on the world by 2000. He takes the reader through the processes of decision making as mayor, who has many people, departments and followers to manage in the most effective and successful way.

A good buy. If you are interested in the writer or leadership in any way, don't hesitate to have a read. If you have an admiration for new York, which I do, it will only make it more worth while.
