enjoyable - Rated I enjoyed this novel, it shows a good example of what life in ww2 was like for familys. i recomend this book to people who like a good cry Touching story! - Rated This is the first book by this author that I have read! I must say, I am very impressed! The story spans WWII and tells of the joys and sorrows of the Wells family. But it's so much more!It gives us a view of each member(Mother,Father,and 3 daughters)of the family and how the war effects them individually.But amazingly, at the same time,showing how the family's love,even during periods of long separation,kept them all strong!The plot runs smoothly from person to person,and the reader feels transported into their family warmth and strength. I look forward to reading more from this talented author! A Great Book - Rated The world is changing for the Wells family during the beginning of World War 2. Daughters Ann and Lucy are getting married before their sweethearts go off to war, maybe for years. Youngest sister Shirley, will face her own challenges on the homefront. By the time peace comes,some of the Wells sisters may not live to see it. "Love and War" by Dee Williams is a great book for any fan of war-time novels. As always, Ms. Williams delievers rich novel with great characters. "Love and War" should not be missed.

This is the first book by this author that I have read! I must say, I am very impressed! The story spans WWII and tells of the joys and sorrows of the Wells family. The world is changing for the Wells family during the beginning of World War 2. Daughters Ann and Lucy are getting married before their sweethearts go off to war, maybe for years. "Love and War" by Dee Williams is a great book for any fan of war-time novels. As always, Ms. Williams delievers rich novel with great characters. "Love and War" should not be missed.
