Customer Reviews

GET THIS ONE FROM THE LIBRARY - Rated 2/5
I've enjoyed all of the Shopaholic series' books, but I was disappointed by this one. I didn't particularly like Lola or Doug (or his mother, or sister for that matter). The story is hardly believable and the dialogs were either dull or plain dumb. Save your money and get this one from your local library if you must form your own opinion.

I Love Jill Mansell - Rated 5/5
I love Jill Mansell. You can call it chick lit and you can say it's not great literature but it is pure escapism, I read it in one evening because I wanted to. She is the equivalent of a deep bubble bath with a glass of wine at the end of a hard day - whoever judges the narrative or the characters or the writing is reading this book for all the wrong reasons. It's fab. I can't wait for the next one. She makes me wonder why I bother with the Richard and Judy books which I wouldn't normally even look at but think maybe I am missing out on something. I enjoy Jill Mansell's books so much more. If you have read any other Jill Mansell books and enjoyed them, you will definately not be disappointed.

Another fantastic book by Jill - Rated 5/5
Another Jill Mansell not to dissapoint, what I like about Jill more than Marian Keyes is that they do vary in location as well as story. I was hooked on Lola from the beginning, I did think that the book climaxed a bit early so it did drag a little at the end. I couldnt wait for this in paperback so I bought it in hardback - something I never do as I like my book to fit in my hand bag.

another 'Mansell' gem! - Rated 5/5
I love love love all her books and cant put them down till I have devoured every word and this was no exception, I read it in a couple of days (and went to work both those days too!) Far from some of the other reviews I thought this book stood up as well as Jill Mansells others, you love the heroine and want to shake the fella cos they cannot see whats in front of them (whats knew there?) and your cant wait to see how the muddle sorts itself out, I look so forward to her books being released, but I read them so quickley it seems ages till the next. Read it, Enjoy it.

An offer you should refuse! - Rated 2/5
I'm a big fan of Jill Mansell's books but the last few have been a bit of a let down! Reading the review's here I thought there was a turnaround in quality. I was sadly mistaken. My main problem was the Doug character, he was largely absent from most of the book and I didn't feel, as a reader, that I felt for this character. Considering he is the male lead I was left wondering if Lola was making the right choice. It only gets 2 stars and that is for it being a Jill Mansell book. I live in hope that the next one delivers.
