One of the best - Rated 5/5
This book was great.

Ok, so it was slightly predictable, but it also has some slight twists which made you more intrigued. During the story, you get to know Camilla well, and other character quite well also.

I love stories that have a hidden story beneath it, which you constantly think 'but what about' and this book carried this technique well throughout the storyline.

I loved the ending and how all the different characters find their way. Jill Mansell wouldnt be recommended for a great literature award, but if there was an award for the best summer read, she would win without a doubt.

Dont ponder on buying this book, just buy it.

The best Mansell has ever done! - Rated 5/5
This is the best Jill Mansell book out there, and yes, it is very serious and there are some points where you will burst into tears and not be able to stop for well over an hour. The transformation for Camilla to go from frump, cheated-on housewife to gorgeous, sexy lady is magnificent, and you will find yourself rooting for her often throughout the book. You may also hate Roz, like I did, but you will see some vulnerability beneath that bitchy exterior. LouLou is a magnificent supporting character, and basically the book is one whirlwind of a read!

Not Brilliant. - Rated 3/5
My 3rd Jill Mansell book and since i loved the other two i read, i expected the same with this one but it didnt happen. It deserves 3 stars, but no more. It has a lot of content like her other books and it has enough going on, but it was the characters who let it down for me. They were pretty much all self-obsessed and selfish.

Camilla, the main character, was very annoying. I found it hard to believe she would up and leave her kids just like that, her husband yes, but not her kids. Then she goes to live with her recently reunited school friend, and suddenly, after years been shy and plump, decides it's ok to walk naked around the flat. Then later on in the book, every male she meets secretly thinks she's gorgeous, yet she has no idea, that was annoying too.

I suppose Lou-Lou was the best character. But it took me about 3 weeks to finnish this book, and that's a long time. Anyway, i've already started another Jill Mansell, and thankfully, it's already much more promising than this book. I shall review that one when i finish it. But since this book has mostly good reviews, then definately try it out because it is Jill Mansell and she is a great writer. And i still love her books!

Amazing!!! - Rated 5/5
I have to say this is one of the best books i have ever read!! You know from the begining where its going to go....Exactly the way you want!!! Lovely read!!

Absorbing but over the top - Rated 3/5
I enjoyed this book despite being unable to get into it at first. Mansell's style of writing is fun and easy going. The main characters were mostly likeable (some more than others) and all their stories were interwoven smoothly with a lot of humour and emotion. However, my main criticism of this book was the fact that it was barely believeable in terms of realism. It was over dramatic and at times bordered on farcical. There was just too much going on; it got to the stage where whenever one of the main characters opened their front door I was surprised they weren't struck by lightning. This over egging of the pudding spoilt the book for me and although after 600 pages I was fond of each character and sad to see them go, I did feel the ending was rather predictable.

Good, but tries too hard to include everything bar the kitchen sink.
