Customer Reviews

Freeman's best so far! - Rated 5/5
I rarely give out any 5 star ratings as I believe that they should only be awarded to outstanding pieces of work, Stalked easily fits into this category.

The story has a bit of everything that makes an excellent crime novel, Murder, suspense, blackmail, obsession, sex and jealousy.

This is the 3rd installment involving Jonathon Stride and in my opinion Freeman's best yet. Stride's partner Maggie Bei's husband is murdered in their home in the middle of the night, shot with her own weapon. Maggie is prime suspect and has secrets she cannot even trust Stride with. With all damning evidence pointing towards Maggie, Stride has to work quick to solve the mystery before more people are murdered.

Excellent charecters, emotional storyline, strong dialogue, if you enjoyed Immoral and Stripped, you're guaranteed to enjoy Stalked!

Brian Freeman is becoming my favourite crime writer and i'm really looking forward to his next book, 10/10.

Brian Freeman - Stalked - Another Page Turner - Rated 5/5
Stalked is Freeman's 3rd novel featuring Detectives Jonathan Stride and Serena Dial, who are also lovers. Serena, ex-homicide Detective, has now turned P.I. and has accompanied Stride back to his hometown of Duluth, Minnesota in the Winter months, when there are roaring winds and blinding snow storms.

Stride becomes involved in a missing person case at the same time as his partner, Maggie Bei, needs his support when tragedy strikes for her and puts her under suspicion. Serena becomes involved in a private case involving blackmail.

As their individual investigations unfold, connections are made and they are both haunted by their past - in differing ways.

This is a modern strong psychological suspense novel. Freeman's writing is stylish, and you find yourself drawn into the story from the very first page. He has created convincing characters with flowing dialogue and is introducing some good light humour through the character of Guppo.

I do admit that I guessed the twist at the end but this did not spoil the enjoyment - this is a real page turner - Read it!

stalked - Rated 5/5
I have read all of Brian Freeman's books and I think the more he writes the better he gets. All his characters are believable. He sets the tension early on in this book and it escalates through every page. I only wish he could write quicker as I cannot wait for his next one.
