Be Prepared Not To Get Up Much From Your Seat Once You Start This Book! - Rated 4/5
The Quickie is one of the best books under James Patterson's name in quite some time. As a matter of fact, it was so good that I wonder how much of it Patterson actually wrote himself, versus Michael Ledwidge (the co-author). Ledwidge writes very much in Patterson's style, but his "own" books (The Narrowback and Before The Devil Knows You're Dead) are better than most of Patterson's more recent books. The Quickie's plot grabs your attention right out of the starting gate and continues to do so right up to the last page. In addition, the characters are pretty well developed and interesting. But perhaps the book's best quality is the fast and furious way in which introduces new twists and turns. And although a few of these plot twists are somewhat implausible and a bit too coincidental, this did not matter much to me since they were overshadowed by the book's ability to keep me totally engrossed and to enable the pages to fly by my eyes. Enjoy!

A great read - Rated 4/5
I love James Patterson & own all his books, this one did not disappoint. I did get a little confused at one point and had to re-read a couple of pages but i think it was because I was so unsure of whether the husband was good, bad, stupid.. Though that must be a sign of good writing I think!

so awfull I gave up - Rated 1/5
This book was a massive disappointment. It looks like a 12 year old has been instructed to go away write a crime novel and come back in 2 days with it complete, for homework.Short words, short chapters, no development of plot or characters, feeble literary bubble gum for the brain dead. Gave up in disgust at page 73.Made even worse by the fact this was a two author collaboration.

Excellent - Rated 5/5
I have read almost all of James Pattersons book, although i rate the murder club the best series, this book was up there as well. I loved every aspect of it and read it in one sitting, would thoroughly recommend !

Amazing - Rated 5/5
I was given this book, so dont feel money bound to write a decent review, but had i known what i know now i would have bought the book as it came off the presses.

Truly amazing!! i was gripped from the first page and was making time to read it when i had none. The twists and turns are the mark of a pure genius and i dont know of any other author who could have done it as well.

I have enjoyed JP's work in the past but this book was amazing and has spurred me on to get them all. VERY VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
