excellent - Rated 5/5
i really enjoed this book it was brill. ive read all of karen roses other books but this one was the best by far. i love the way get to keep in touch with the other book so it also ties up some loose ends.
if you have not read any of karens books before start with die for me then scream for me, it was simply the best book ive read in long time.

ANOTHER FIRST CLASS THRILLER - Rated 5/5
Brilliant sequel which builds successfully on Karen's previous book. What I love about Karen's writing is that you actually care about the people in her books. Her plots are complex but believable and her decriptive style makes you feel as if you are present at the same time as her characters - which gives you goosebumps when reading the detailed descriptions of the crime scenes! The only complaint I have about this book is that I read it too quickly. One of the best books I have read for a long time.

Have to have your wits about you! - Rated 5/5
This is not a typical good cop - girl in trouble - he sorts it out they fall in love and all is well. So if you like something with a harder edge and a complex plot with lots of twists and turns and a good cop (in and with lots of trouble); girl (ditto) then give this a go.

Daniel (good cop) with the GBI has made some startling discoveries involving his family, his own community appears to be disintegrating and the catalyst for the majority of the problems is Alex Fallon in his home town looking for her missing stepsister. Whilst they both have lots of baggage from their past and current high octane problems the relationship between the two main characters is well balanced, there is minimal repetition and the passion is well drawn and realistic.

The remaining cast are introduced and reappear regularly enough to give them some depth without them overshadowing Daniel and Alex (although I would like to hear a little more about Luke!!).

There are however, lots of other characters involved in this quite convoluted plot - which you decide you have solved and then something else happens - and you were wrong. Harsh material is dealt with in an honest and sensitive manner - but I did get lost with who was whom a couple of times (must be old age).

A definite must read if you enjoy a fast paced, highly charged and well written read - bit of romance, lots of murder and some very good characterisation.

Excellent - can't wait for the next one ('specially if it's about Luke!)

Great sequel from a terrific storyteller - Rated 5/5
This author delivers yet another awesome story- this time a sequel to her NY Times bestseller Die for Me.

We follow one of the characters from Die for Me, Daniel Vartanian, who made a shocking discovery in that first book.He actually works for the Georgia Bureau of Investigation and in the course of his job, is drawn back to his hometown where the bodies are piling up.We also meet Alex Fallon, who is the catalyst and whose past is linked to Daniel's in a most awful way.

How the two main charaters get past their tragic histories and make a connection is one of the most riveting aspects of this book-from their first meeting -you could feel the chemistry between them & I personally couldn't put the book down until I'd finished it in the small hours of the morning .

This book is published in H/B & on the back cover there are comments from famous & highly successful authors in their own right- James Patterson;Allison Brennan & Karen Robards.
When you have praise from your own "competitors"- for lack of a better word, I think you must be doing something right. And I agree with them all-this is a brilliant offering from Karen Rose.

The romance side doesn't have an " add-on" feeling about it, rather it all blends perfectly well into the main suspense aspect. Many romantic suspense authors can get it wrong; either too much suspense & not enough romance or,the other way around, when the baddies seem to take time out in order to allow the romance aspect to move along-

There are no goo-ey bits which can sometimes happen in this genre-the balance is seamless- the character development is master-class standard-and the story itself is one to make you burn the midnight oil in order to get to the end.

Anyone who enjoys the genre should spend the money on the H/b copy- it's worth every penny.

And for those of you who have never heard of her- go buy up her back catalogue- it's worth it just to see how much she has developed over the last few years.
