Another good page turner by Ms Monroe that I read in one sitting. As I read the book my mother kept asking me why I was shaking my head and what was going on that was so bad? After I lent her the book I found her doing exactly the same thing, and it confirmed that this is a good book to read.
Trudy at the start of the book is a bored young African American woman who starts a new job which temporarily takes her mind off her emotionally backmailing father, Neanderthal boyfriend, and generally flat lifestyle. However what the job offers is soon not enough, and in an attempt to get back at a snooty female boss that tries to make her life hell Trudy steals her identity and the fun begins. There are some laugh out loud moments like the infamous phone sex scene, or when Trudy picks up a hot partner in Mexico, and when she has to get a ride with the guy who approached her earlier in the day in a park. I personally found the climax a little rushed and slightly unbelievable consideriding all that she did.
Overall it may not be Ms Monroe's best book, but there is plenty to keep you hooked on finding out what Trudy gets up to next, and how many times she can get away without getting caught. Check it out, you may enjoy it and like me sit there shaking your head at the adventures of Trudy.

This book is about a women called Trudy. After being assaulted at her fathers Liquor Store, she gets a new job working for a travel agents called Bon Voyage. There she has the 'pleasure' of meeting Ann Oliver a lady who thinks she is above everybody else. Ann treats Trudy like something you find on the bottom of your shoe. Trudy then decides to pay Ann back. Trudy has the company credit cards (in Ann's name) and decides to steal Ann's identity and use the credit cards for all kinds...until it lands her in trouble.
I thought the book was ok but rather long for the subject. It seemed very drawn out at places. This was not one of my favourite Mary Monroe book. The God dont like Ugly series was fantastic.
