"Seduction" series book 1 - Rated
The curvy brunette black sheep in a family of tall, willowy blondes, Alyssa Moss battles not only their intensely belittling attitude, but an unknown ailment which leaves her constantly drained and sickly. Whilst her best friend Debbie states on a daily basis how unattractive she is and her family harp on how stupid she is; it's surprising Alyssa manages to get out of bed every morning. The only highlights in her dreary existence are her nightly erotic dreams of a hunk named Stone, a man who has haunted her dreams for ten years.
Some may argue that Alyssa manages to almost casually shrug off 23 years of repression and low self esteem; yet her desire to experience her most intimate sexual fantasies certainly helps her overcome her inhibitions (especially with the assistance of Stone who is equally willing to ensure each fantasy is fulfilled). The sex scenes are red hot between Stone, Alyssa and a variety of participants and the story line genuinely moving as Alyssa is united with friends and relatives, and for the first time becomes a member of a loving family. Her reunion with her parents is particularly moving, as is her growing belief in herself as a beautiful woman and a powerful queen.
I'm assuming that CR intends at least another two books in this series as Stone's friends; Princes' Grayson and Ryan are required to mate with gifted humans who will help Alyssa nourish the world of Tador. As this pair stands little chance of a match in their own age group (their peers having died in attempts to ascend the throne) they welcome the opportunity of mating to a woman who isn't old enough to have changed their diapers. As they will be finding their extraordinary matches in the human world and hopefully persuading said women to return to an alien world that they will help nourish; there's bound to be trouble ahead as many traditionalists on Tador forbid the mating of a Klatch to a human. I should point out for more sensitive readers that the factious Klatch tribe that kidnapped Alyssa and raised her to believe herself useless and ugly are somewhat offensively named; however the clever explanation as to this name and how it has filtered into the human language certainly reduces its vulgarity. Lastly, this marvellous author also writes under the name Tina Gerow. "Stone Maiden" and "Fire Maiden" are two of my most favourite books ever and will certainly appeal to those that have enjoyed COS.
