Don't judge the book by it's cover - Rated 1/5
Starting with the title: it most certainly is not "A Detailed Guide to Making Sausages". It lacks clarity by using and mixing different measurement standards. It confounds by referring to terms not understood or explained - what is 'red pepper'? It can not be Cayenne or Paprika as these are referred to separately in subsequent recipes, as is 'ground red hot pepper'
Why have different quantities of finished sausage when a little homework could have unified them? Why refer to 4 types of casing and only give the preparation of 1? Why give the length of casing in some recipes and not others?
I could go on. This book is just a collection of recipes and extracts plagiarised from other, acknowledged, sources, with no attempt made by the author to regularise the detail. Were I not now out of the country, I would ask for my money back.
