terrible - Rated
I,ve been playing MMO's for a long long time, and always spend a minimum of six months at least on each game, just to validate my opinion.I couldnt even get through the 30 day free trial on this, its like pulling teeth.The land combat and quests are terrible, the sea battles (initially compelling) are too shallow in gameplay to occupy over a period of time and the server status and support is horrendous.Its the first time I,ve been disgusted with an MMO to be honest, even the most grindy Korean based ones have a little bit of compelling gameplay.This is trash.

Outdated already, whatever you do, don't buy! - Rated
The game guide is already outdated and contains a large amount of information which is completely erronous now as many things have been completely changed since beta and subsequent patches.

Save your money and either go to the very helpful and information-tastic official game forums, or the fan run wiki pages etc.

It does however look nice, and makes for a nice read, so if you're a HARDCORE PotBS fan, this is probably something you'll want to buy for the pictures etc.

For those of us just wanting a game guide to help us play the game, the sheer number of recent chages to the game mean that this guide is horribly outdated in a number of areas.

Prima have produced a nice, high quality finish product though, to be fair. Just a pity they couldn't have had the most up-to date information before going to print.
