Three formats, two heroes, one essential guide. - Rated
This guide covers the PS3 and Xbox360 versions of the game but I would expect the content of the PC version to be identical. It opens with a brief introduction covering the previous three DMC games and then briefly examines the characters of DMC4. Nero's controls and abilities are then examined. This includes his Red Queen, Blue Rose, Devil Bringer and Yamato weapons. All the associated special moves are explained. Then Dante's abilities and contols are examined. His Rebellion, Lucifer, Pandora, Yamato, Shotgun and pistol weapons are examined along with any associated special moves. Dante's five different fighting styles are also explained.
The Puppets Of Armageddon section covers all enemies from the lesser demons to the bosses. All special items including orbs, stars and key items are also listed. The twenty different missions are presented with maps, orb and special item locations, enemies encountered and essential tips from the author. The twelve secret missions are also detailed. The six different difficulty modes and what is unlocked upon completion is explained (I think I'll give Hell and Hell mode a miss). The back of the book has several mission ranking data charts and an Xbox Live achievements and gamer points chart.
For any gamer struggling with DMC4 or any gamer wanting to get the most from the game I would recommend this guide highly.
