a very good book - Rated a book with original story and a lot of suspense. 4/5 Topical - Rated This is a well paced political/medical thriller with a topical theme. The author is not the first to write a novel about bio-terrorism and viruses, but I think this is the first time the idea has been combined with 'suicide viral bombers' - individuals who willingly contract, carry and spread the virus. The characterisation is a bit unimaginative - especially the stereotypical arab baddies. The storyline is very up to date with well-researched references to bird flu and SARS.
