A bite-sized guide - Rated
Full of fascinating little nuggets about EPCOT. Did you know that the interior of the 'Impressions de France' restaurant in EPCOT is modelled on Edouard Manet's 'A Bar at the Folies-Bergere', right down to the uniforms of the waitresses...this book is full of such titbits, and contains architectural drawings, including pictures of attractions that were never actually built. My only complaint is that it's a very small book and doesn't do the artwork justice...and it does feel a bit like a brochure rather than a book: I got fed up with the hyperpole and certain phrases being endlessly reused - things are never improved in Disney parks, they're always 'plussed'. After a while, you do feel you're reading a corporate mission statement, not a book. But anyone who loves EPCOT will enjoy this.

I'm a huge Disney fanatic and have visited all parks a number of times.
This little book gives you a great insight to how the parks were in the past and how they are in the present. The Imagineers who have put this great book together are the people behind the rides. Not only do they supply us with the story behind the rides but how they have altered and why.
There are some great illustrations in the book both in colour and in black and white, showing the beginning concept to the completed design.
Whether you have been to this park or not this book provides a great through the eyes of the people who have designed it, the Imagineers. :-)
It's great book to add to any Disney collection. :-)
The Second Release of a BRILLIANT little series - Rated
You may or may not be already aware that this particular item is the follow-up to the brilliant Imagineering Field Guide of the Magic Kingdom. It's identical in size, lay-out & quality and provides the reader with a pocket-size guide to all things Epcot. The emphasis on these books however is not necessarily to simply detail the park & it's attractions but to delve a bit deeper and tell the reader the idea's, backgrounds, stories, etc that the Imagineer's had in mind when designing the park.
This book is crammed full of great little pieces of information on absolutely every detail of Epcot including superb artwork, sketches and photo's that you just wish were larger so you could appreciate them in all their glory. That's the real beauty of these books however - the size.
The only reason I don't award this particular book 5* is that it does fall short compared to the previous Magic Kingdom guide. In fairness, that book focuses on a park that is vastly more varied in every aspect hence the book being so fascinating, but I did feel that parts of the Epcot guide were a little too dull. It's still a brilliant little piece of work though & I can't wait until they release the Studios & Animal Kingdom volumes
