The book was eye opening, mind boggling and fun to read! - Rated I first read 'Strange Orbit' a few months ago. I picked it up in the library but thought it wasn't my type of book as I don't ususally enjoy fiction, I was wrong however... The book tells the highly unbelievable but none the less excellent story of a young girl who goes into space on a 'youth trip'. Unfortunately her space ship breaks down. From then on the crew experience all sorts of weird goings on such as visiting 'eternity' and meeting the crew of a long-lost russian space ship. The book is funny at times and extremely imaginative. It also tackles thoughts that are always in my mind (being only 15) such as: 'what's really in space?' 'Is there life after death?' etc in a fun, suggestive way. I would definately recommend the book if you're looking for something with adventure, style and individuality. It is sometimes hard to get your head round but then you have the excuse to read it over and over again! I say "well done" to Margaret Simpson for writing an excellent fictional story for non-fiction lovers of all ages!
