2 Books in one,1good & 1 not so... - Rated 3/5
I have just finnished this book by Geoff Hill,to be honest the first tale of riding from India to Northern Ireland is very good, interesting enough to keep you reading & funny in parts. But the second tale of riding route 66 is quite dull, almost a list of dinner owners!

Two stories one book - Rated 2/5
I bought this book after reading the likes of Ted Simon, Mondo Endro and other travel adventure accounts, and this book does not cut the mustard. The conversations with a toy rabbit I found to be distracting and made the book hard to finish.

this is not good - Rated 1/5
I wanted to throw this book away halfway through the first half, the jokes and silly asides are like lead in your head, stupid and obvious. Each place he visits is described almost directly from the travel books, he does nothing more interesting than look for alchohol. I finished it so i will know how not to write a book. In the last chapter he goes to Kingman, on route 66, a place i had recently visited, he said very little about Mr D'z a wonderful place full of delights and colour, and he failed to mention the biggest train i have ever seen, parked right in the middle of town, how did he miss it? If he did write about it, and it was edited out, then it must have been bad, because what they left in is awful!!
He comes across like a sixth form rugby player, no offence to rugby players, but hes actually a middle age volleyball player, dont buy this book. He has an imaginary rabbit as a companion, its desperate and sad.Avoid.

brilliant - Rated 5/5
The book is divided into two halves. One is about the journey from Delhi to Belfast on a Royal Enfield and the other is about a journey along Route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles on a Harley.

The author writes both adventures well with whit and humour for each trough and peak along the way. The journey's are both described with brilliant detail and explaining plenty about the places en-route!

If you're looking for factual information with mileage, times and dates and exactly how to do it yourself then this isn't for you because the author is more caught up in the excitement and drama of every situation.

A very well written and exciting travel book with an incredible amount of amusement and adventure. It will make you want to take to the road and find some adventure for yourself!!

Very Funny - Rated 5/5
I couldn't stop turning the pages, I loved reading it and wanted it to keep going. The author's sense of humour is evident on every page, treating disasters and setbacks with a sense of fun to get you through.
Loved this book, can't wait to read more of his stuff.
