No need to panic with this book - Rated When planning children's parties, there is more often than not a moment when panic sets in - what will I do if it rains? what if we havent got enough games? am I going to lose my mind organising all of this?! This book gives you the confidence to actually be able to enjoy the day. With Anne Thomas' book there is no need to panic. Reading this will ensure you are armed with some great ideas to make your child's day really special. You will get years of use out of it - it is relevant up to the stage our kids say "PLEASE, no more organised party games please" This is a good one for parties of all budgets. It is fabulous if you are doing it all yourself, but equally has its uses if you are choosing your themes prior to getting in professional help on the day. It has advice for themes, planning, invitations and games. The games are all divided into age ranges, number of children suitable for, indoor/outdoor. Good! It provides a wide range of games and activities for children from 3 to 12, as well as suggestions for decorations and themes. What I especially like is the creative slant of many of the suggestions. Don't spend pounds on professional party entertainers - produce your own puppet show or treasure hunt. It's not that difficult (the book shows you how) and it is infinitely more rewarding. I know, I've tried it and it's worked! No matter what sort of party you or your child would like, you will find the games to suit: indoor, outdoor, creative, active, peaceful, tuneful, simple, challenging..., for birthdays or other occasions. The authors also provide useful information on how to organise the party from start to finish. If you groan at the thought of yet another party, then buy this book!
