great read - Rated Very interesting book, not written by a devotee of Steiner. Clearly written, not heavy going and places Steiner in a context of other philosophers and thinkers. The author is obviously very well read and informed of such things. Also explains complex and contraversial ideas clearly and simply, (relatively speaking!) Useful if you want to build up a balanced view of Steiner, but also thought provoking if you just are interested in evolution of consciousness, thinking and the spirit world, what is reality... All this from a Blondie guitarist/composer and guitarist with Iggy Pop! Reassures me it is written by someone with a wide world view/experience.
