The Herbal guide with interesting facts - Rated
Very informative book with good indexing as well as reverse indexing. Suffer from a lack of appetite ? Well nettle leaves together with juniper berries , balm leaves and eurpoean centaury should do the trick? Did you know that saffron is an aphrodisiac ? Well neither did I?
Could have had some colour illustrations though, it would have been perfect.
Walking through a Garden of Herbs - Rated
The book is like a guide who takes you for a promenade into a garden of herbs with small but beautiful tips ! This Book inspired me to venture into the realm of Indian herbs. <
This is a resource I use daily - Rated
This is a must have book for anyone interested in herbs. I use it daily and would recommend it to anyone who has any interest at all in herbs for any reason.
A "must have" herbal! - Rated
This is the first herb book I ever purchased. Some twenty years and a couple of dozen herbals later, it is still the best for the comprehensiveness of its treatment of the subject. If you want to know how to grow herbs, get the Ortho book. For anything else, this is the one book to have if you could only have one.
My cornerstone book on Herbs! - Rated
The Herb Book is the very first book I purchased on the subject. That was eleven or so years ago and since then I've bought quite a few more..but I always refer back to it for more information and to look up an herb or two that another book might have missed. It's absolutely excellent..the only problem I have with it is that it's paperback and the cover has long since fallen off!( Plus my Rabbit got ahold of it and ate the last pages of the index) Other than that, this book should be on everyone's shelf!(Saved me a lot of money on OTCs!)
