THIS BOOK ROCKS! - Rated 5/5
This book was one of the best I ever read. I will admit when my best friend commanded I read it, I was skeptical. Cuz fantasy was never my choice. But this book swayed my vote and now I am even reading the rest of the trilogy. I would recrementd this to everyone!!

I LOVED THIS BOOK!! - Rated 5/5
I just can't get over how much I enjoyed reading this book and the ones after it. Huff creates a real and exciting world. The idea of the knigh was very interesting and believable. I can't wait to read more of her books.

A brilliant star in the sky of dreams - Rated 5/5
It is perhaps rare and not convenient to give a 10 out of 10, but this book was the first fantasy novel for years that evoked a state of mind in me, that I cannot describe. It is as if you break through the mists and reach for the golden Isle of Avalon. There is virtually bardic music in this story out of another dimension. SO to cut a long story short the world in which Annice strikes for freedom is a class of its own. And even better the characters grow with the outline of the story. Unfortunately The Fifth Quarter, the sequel, is not nearly as good as Sing the Four Quarters, but in both book Tanya Huff holds the tension and the story is never really predictable. There is always the missing link and first at the end the holistic image grows together. Brilliant....

An unforgetable tale of friendship, love and loyalty - Rated 5/5
I read this book in one sitting. I just simply could not put it down. A magical adventure with its fair share of danger, unexpected twists and humor. One of the original novel ever written, let alone thought of. Convincing plot and characters. Tanya Huff, I must say, is in a class of her own.

I stayed up half the night to finish this book !! - Rated 5/5
Tonya Huff's Sing the Four Quarters is a breath of fresh air amidst all the garbage predominant in fantasy novels these days. She has done a remarkable job of bringing to life a magical world of music and elemental magic without any of the stale formulaic trite so often found in the fantasy genre. It was well worth the price of the triple latte I had to buy the next morning to stay awake!
