A must buy for everyone! - Rated
I found this book both fascinating and interesting! It is so easy to read and understand. It simply explains in laymans terms, what is going on in your body, and tells you what to do to get well.
You don't have to be a Doctor to understand this book. I have recommended it to my friends who find themselves exhausted from day to day living in our fast paced world.
I have also recommended this book to my Doctors who were interested in finding out how I have been able to recover so well, after being so debilitated with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for 4 years. I'm getting my life back and its thanks to Dr Jacob Teitelbaum and his years of research.
Good on the whole, but a few gaps - Rated
I would recommend this as a reference source and buying it. It contains very useful information in many areas, such as endocrine problems and yeast etc. I have a few reservations. It only dedicates 5 lines to toxicity and detoxification, which more or less tell you to buy someone else's book. For one of the major contributary factors of Chronic Fatigue in many people, this is not really acceptable. If you are going to write a book about CFS, you can't just leave out key factors. My other reservations about the book are that it tends to mention many rather severe treatments and pharmaceutical drugs where these should only really be used as a last resort if at all, as many natural equivalents are just as effective. Lastly, the book doesn't clearly differentiate enough between what the reader should do by themselves, and what they should leave to a specialist to really prescribe the right treatment for them. It reads like a list of supplements. Apart from that, it is quite good.
opinion from UK - Rated
This book looks at problems not yet considered by the NHS & all solutions are mostly medical. However resolving the issues can be undertaken by using an alternative medicine path. This book has helped me to make strides in my recovery within months - after suffering from the condition for many, many years. The book is also necessary should you want to follow the professors online medical programme.
Inspirational - Rated
Amazing book, inspirational in terms of detailing a way of beating this condition. Looks very proactively and practically at what to do to improve the condition, written in a very positve manner which is normously helpful when a sufferer is not finding a solution. Also very factual.
Not real research - Rated
I'm not convinced by this book. Having suffered and recovered from CFS, Ihave done quite a lot of my own research into the illness. Looking throughPubMed (a compilation of every single research article that has appearedin a peer-reviewed medical journal), none of Teitelbaum's "research" onCFS appears. His studies showing that supplements, anti-candida treatments or hormonaltreatments can help CFS all contradict the large research studies thathave appeared in peer-reviewed journals which show that these treatmentshave no effect over and above placebo. Save your money and talk to other people who have recovered to see whatworks for them. You don't need to spend thousands of dollars onTeitelbaum's treatment protocol to recover from CFS!
