Poor Variations on classic effects - Rated This book isn't very good. Most of the effects are badly written up with poor crediting. Almost every effect is started with the words "I have borrowed a lot from in this effect but I think my presentation and "attitude" make it a real winner". This is all too clear in the twisting the aces effect which is just Dai Vernons twisting the aces routine but with extra clutter making it a less powerful effect. The same can be said for his handling of Peter Kanes classic "Jazz Aces". There is a lot of padding in this book, the only decent routines in it are Dimishing not likely and ... erm.. the name escapes me but it's an effect which is scant variation on one of Roy Waltons classic effects. I'd reccommend you don't buy it. But then it does point you in the right direction (sometimes) to find out how all the classics SHOULD be done, WITHOUT the clutter. CMG Pure Magical Genius in book form - Rated Consider real magic. The moment of wonder when the impossible happens. Multiply this through by every trick in this book. If you are a serious magician then this book will bless you. Highly logical brilliant tricks
