A must for all model engineers - Rated
I can recommend this book to any model engineer whether just starting or with years of experience.
The book not only covers the actual construction of a particular traction engine but discusses just about all aspects of model engineering required for this level of work. It is full of practical tips to make construction easier as well as important information you need to about construction and operating a traction engine.
It is well written in a style which make you want to continue reading, but which can also be read in small burst when you have a few moments. It is full of many splendid photographs and even has a recipe section for when you need to cook a meal as you drive to a rally.
I give it the full 5 Start rating.

Full of insight for all model engineers - Rated
My model engineering interests lie more with 7.25" railways than traction engines but I found Mr George's book to be full of useful information for any steam engine constructor. The illustrations are superb and the book is easy to read, with a friendly style. Even if you are not into Traction Engines this book is well worth the money !
