Don't judge a book by it's (Pagan) cover - Rated
Having been severely disappointed by much of the Pagan inspired fiction around at the moment (Starhawk being a shining exception) I bought this book with a considerable amount of skepticism. However I looked at the reviews and thought there must be something here that's worth a look.
It was a gamble that paid off hugely!!
This book deserves every good thing that's been written about it. It grabs hold of you from page one and doesn't let go until the final page, and even then it leaves you desperate for the next installment.
The author is an expert at leading you through the story and changing the pace to match the unfolding storyline. Her descriptions of the festivals throughout the series are genuinely awe inspiring and awoke in me feelings I first felt all those years ago on first discovering the Pagan path, for which I am truly grateful to the author.
I know it's become a cliché on Amazon but this is the first book I've been inspired to take the time to review and I recommend it and it's sequels (we're up to book three of a five part series) with all my heart.

Fantastic reading - Rated
I just have to say that these books were my best buy of last year. I knew nothing of Kit Berry, but was hooked as soon as I'd read the first page. I'm not a Pagan, but it's wonderful to read about a different way of life, and the way Kit writes it makes you feel part of it. The way Kit writes the characters makes you feel you know them, and it stirs the emotions in you. I love books you just can't put down, and Kit's books are that kind of book. I can't praise these books highly enough, and have recommended them to all I know.

Just felt compelled to write a review on this book. I do not know anything about Pagan cultures but was recommended the book by my hairdresser. I was unable to put it down. It kept me spellbound throughout and I will recommend it to all my friends. The book is well written - I cant wait to read the next one.

spellbinding reading - Rated
Kits 'Stonewylde' books are a must for pagans and non-pagans alike. However being a pagan its nice to finally have books written about the things I love and have a strong spiritual belief in.
Kits words and beautiful descriptions draw you in so you do not want to put them down until you have read the last word.
I would say they are also useful to those new to the pagan path.

FANTASTIC READ - Rated
I found Kit's first two books in the shop at Avebury and after reading the back cover I thought mmm this sounds interesting. I was not prepared for the journey I was about to embark on. Thank goodness I had both books so that I could really enjoy Kit's wonderful gift of taking the reader into the very heart of the pagan community. I had to wait a whole month for book 3 which I ordered through W.H. Smith and collected it on the day of release. Once again I was not disappointed. I then bought the 3 books for my son and gave them to him for his birthday. He said they are the best ever and could not put them down. Hurry up Kit with book 4. I would advise anyone who enjoys being entertained, thrilled and taught new things to read this series. I have been pagan for 15 years and I learned and appreciated from what Kit had to offer.
