Excellent meditation on the Eucharist - Rated This is a wonderful book, explaining in clear and concise language the meaning of the Eucharist. It is excellent for the layman like me, because it is non-specialist; but it is clear after reading it how special Holy Communion is and how much we seem to miss in not regarding it as it should be. A Most beautiful Reflection on the Adoration which is Christ's due in the Eucharist - Rated This little book will certainly change the way a person receives the Lord in Holy Communion. It is well written, scholarly but very accessible to the average Catholic. Bishop Schneider shows how the Church has always required the maximum care and respect possible for the Eucharist and how the practice of receiving Holy Communion in the hand breaks with an ancient tradition and has led to a de-valuing of the reality that it is Christ himself who is really present in the Eucharist.
