Innovation...The Complete Guide! - Rated If you want to really understand innovation and how to do it then this is the book for you. It's thorough. There are sample processes and approaches for all aspects relating to innovation management - from developing strategy, through to generating and selecting ideas, implementation and much much more! What really works for me is the way this book shows how innovation impacts on each different function within an organisation. In this way you get a real feel for the organisational challenge that is innovation. What you also get is lots of ideas about how to really help those different functional teams contribute effectively to innovation projects. For the student it offers all the theory to understand the process of innovation. For the practitioner there are easy to understand, comprehensive tools which can build confidence. By definition no-one can give you a precise roadmap for your particular innovation journey - you make the map as you go into the unexplored territory. However, 'Innovation Management' is a 'must read' book before you set off. It provides advice on all the necessary preparation, and "travel options" so that you can have a safe and fruitful journey. In this way you get a real feel for the organisational challenge that is innovation.
