This is not a pop-up.....!! - Rated Pop up books pop up when you open the pages. Poppy Cats dream does exactly that - excellent. My kids favourite. Poppy Cats Happy Day is a lift the flap and nothing like as good. A real disappointment and badly described. Not recommended. Buy Poppy Cats dream instead. AndyMac Great value for money and enduring fun - Rated We love Poppy Cat and own several of the smaller board books (Zoom, Zoom Poppy Cat, Goodnight Poppy Cat etc.) This book is definitely the favourite though. It follows the familiar rhyming format and features all the old friends (Zuzu, Alma, Mo, Owl and of course Bear) but the numerous flaps give it another dimension and make it a longer bedtime read. The large pages feature brightly coloured, detailed illustrations and provide plenty of opportunities to introduce new vocabulary. My son has loved this book since we first bought it over six months ago and I believe it will last for a good while yet. My only criticism is that the book began with forty fabulous flaps but now has only thirty-six-and-a-half. Older children may be able to open and close the flaps a little more carefully but some of the flaps weren't attached firmly enough for my excitable one year old.
