Customer Reviews

the end of the world is coming... - Rated 4/5
This book brings you all around the world searching for great stones and landmarks that held their great secrets. Not without power and myth to support great plots for different missions. Jack West Jr. and the heroic team in this part did what they must do to save the world.

There were parts in China, Egypt, South Africa; with enemies lead by a powerful man who is close to Jack. Zoe (Jack's leading girl); who took more action on her part during Jack's absence then in previous SAW. Wizard, Lily and other new characters are included in the chase.

In this sequel, MR feature 2 vertex point, the rest will be for the next book. I can't wait for the next chapter of the new 'untitled' book. For this one I would say great plots and a great end to the book with a 'cliffhanger'. We all know the answer...but Heroes must go on to win this. Rate this 4 Star!

Everything you'd expect from Matthew Reilly - Rated 5/5
As Greg said in his review, if you're looking for thoughtful factual realistic stories then you need to put this book down and head for the grown ups books. Reilly writes action adventure for big kids. History is a there to be used as a starting point and where it goes is straight from the imagination.

The plot is completely mad, the action is none stop, the gadgets and getaways are 3 fields to the the left of the left field, but it's fiction not fact and fiction is supposed to be crazy and wierd.

I love Reilly's books I can read them again and again because they are escapist fun

Indy reborn! - Rated 5/5
When i picked up my first Matthew Reilly book (Seven Ancient Wonders) I was hooked, I immediately ordered all of his back issues of Contest, Temple, Ice Station, Area 7, and Scarecrow. They were all subsequently devoured within a matter of days!
In "The 6 sacred stones" Reilly returns to my favorite character Jack West Jr, or more simply Huntsman.
This story picks up approximately 18 months after S.A.W. and delivers all the action and adrenaline that are the trademarks of Reilly's method of writing with african cannibals, submarines, and chinese prisons being some of the epic plot devices that are used to keep the story hurtling onwards.
Previous reviews have slated this story for being a part of a series, and while it is a little frustrating, I for one will be eagerly awaiting the next installment.
It is a truly spectacular cliffhanging ending too!

Can't wait for the sequel - Rated 5/5
could not put this down, loved every page and didn't want it to end, finally realized towards the end that there had to be a sequel and was most disappointed i had finished it.

Fast paced all the way

don't do this to me ....... - Rated 5/5
I am reading this book at the moment and loving it, it is as good as the last one if not better but as I have raced through it and am nearing the end it has dawned on me that it is to be continued....., that takes nothing away from this excellent book I just hope he hurries up and finishes the next one very soon! I would have delayed reading it if I had realised but am eagerly anticipating the next one!
