Customer Reviews

Excellent book with excellent drawings - Rated 5/5
This book kept the children happy with slimes from ear to ear. the words that followed through in this story line made them smile as the picture were brought to life. A book that every child must have.

We love it SO MUCH! - Rated 5/5
As a teacher and a mum I love this book on 2 levels. I use it as a hook when meeting a new class, the lilting rhythm and infectious joy from the family have children spellbound. In fact, I find myself reading it by request frequently through the year!
As a mum, its wonderful as one of the stories my 2 girls (7 and 3) request over and over again, and I NEVER tire of reading. The fantastic grammar in the speech of the characters and the contrast with the quiet waiting times make this a joy to read aloud.

highly recommended - Rated 4/5
This book was highly recommended to us a an extra gift to our daughter and her partner on the birth of their new baby Zach. As a mixed race baby it is vital Zach grows up being loved for who he is and not the colour of his skin. What a lovely story in this delightful book.

So Much - Rated 5/5
This book is fantastic. Everyone with a child should have one. The children love this book because it has repetitive parts which your child can join in with. Fantastic for reading in different accents especially caribbean ones.

I love this book sooo much! - Rated 5/5
I come from a mixed Caribbean background - my husband is Caucasian. So, I've been keen to find quality books that expose my child to different family backgrounds. We love this book. My daughter (and I) enjoy the lilt of the dialogue and I love that it depicts such a typical Caribbean, extended family. It reminds me of my childhood and makes me happy that I can share this kind of story with my child.
