Mr Piggott and his two sons behave like pigs to poor Mrs Piggott until, finally, she walks out. Left to fend for themselves, the male Piggotts undergo some curious changes! This is a hilarious picture book, full of surprises and teasing visual jokes. As with so many of Anthony Browne's books, this story works on several levels with sophisticated pictures combining with a simply told story. Within the story there is a serious message, but it is also a humorous tale that will delight young children and the whole family--and provide some food for thought. --Philippa Reece

About Piggybook - Rated 4/5
Piggybook is about a family of two boys and their parents. At first it seems like the perfect family, but then you discover that the mother is made to do all the work (e.g. washing, cooking, cleaning). She works all the time, and gets completely exhausted. Her husband and sons are complete pigs, only thinking of themselves, so one day, she leaves them. The boys can't manage by themselves, everything is messed up completely. They begin to wish their mother/wife was back. Soon, she does come back, with the condition that they all have to share the workload equally. So the mother never has to be the 'housemaid' again. The moral of this story would probably be 'absence makes the heart grow fonder'!

This book is incredible! - Rated 5/5
This book shows a family of men who are all pigs(at first they are humans and they are messy). The poor mother has to clean up after them and cook all of their meals. Throughout this book Browne's illustrations are humorous. In the middle the men are all drawn as pigs. Look carefully at the pictures, there are many hidden pigs. The mother gets fed up and leaves them and the men have to fend for themselves. Well, you can guess what happens next!

Excellent children's book on viewing women's equality. - Rated 5/5
This is one of my favorite children's books. Mrs. Piggott gets tired of her husband and two sons because they don't help at home even though she is working full time. She leaves them and they eventually end up rooting like pigs looking for something to eat. Watch the pictures to see pigs appearing everywhere.
