What a fantastic story, my daughter has loved this book, and two years later still likes it. This author can do no wrong.
Brilliant, Brilliant, Brilliant! - Rated
I think I liked just as much as my daughter! The alliteration is as good as in the rest of the books, and it never gets boring! The illustrations are as excellent as ever, and the suspense in the story is also there. Keep them coming!
Completely Wonderful. - Rated
I opened this book with trepidation, fearing that the incredibly talented Donaldson and Scheffler might not have been able to come up with the goods (yet) again, but from the wonderful opening line it was clear that Stick Man is going to be a terrific story. Having read them all - and seen how my children, 5 and 2, have reacted to them - I actually think it's their best, certainly every bit as good as the fantastic 'Room on the Broom'. For Stick Man is not just a witty and inventive adventure story about the various hazards that Stick Man encounters - it taps into deeper ideas about identity - which is why Stick Man repeats his name over and over. The story is also about what can be expected of us in life and what we will and will not tolerate. And there are moments of real poignancy as when Stick Man lies exhausted in the grate, about to be burned, dreaming of his wife and children. His rescue at the hands of Father Christmas is both inspired and uplifting. A picture book masterpiece that will be read for generations.

This was given to my 4 year old last Christmas and he hasn't let me put it away with all the other Christmas books. We have to read it at least once a week so it's obviously a great hit with him.
Really nice story, great illustrations and use of colour. Well worth buying.
