Exactly what I was looking for - Rated
This book describes one family's trip around Europe and boy what a journey! This book was exactly what I was looking for; I'm still planning our European trip and I feel a little less daunted at the prospect having read their account. There are loads of hints and tips that are going to be useful in preparing for the trip and the historical information is a real appetite wetter. There's the unexpected bonus of a website link giving even more information and some stunning location photographs.
A fantastic read! - Rated
I bought this book to read whilst I planned and prepared for my own extended travels around Europe in a motorhome. It is a great read, fabulously descriptive without being overbearing. It has been very helpful in my plans and I would recommend it to anyone who loves travel and the experiences it brings, whether you are planning a trip like this yourselves or just fantasising about one.

Enjoyed this book; an easy, interesting read of a family's adventures around Europe; but the punctuation errors and spelling mistakes detracted from my enjoyment immensely.
Enjoyable read but not quite what I was looking for - Rated
My wife and I are planning a 3 month trip to France, Spain, and Portugal in the summer, so I was looking for more travel advice and hints and tips. The book is very readable, and funny in parts. I would have liked more maps for the individual areas, as I found it hard to relate the different parts of the book to particular areas. It was a worthwhile read though, and convinced me that when we do our trip (in a smaller motorhome), we will definitely attempt to write it up as a guide to others and try and get it published. I would have liked more detail on typical costs and budgets vs actual spend. I suspect we will be on a tighter budget than the authors and will also have a standard poodle in tow.
dreams to reality - Rated
We all like to think about what we 'would' or 'could' do, and so many of us never get there. Not only do I admire the Jackson family for actually grabbing an adventure with both hands, but I am a little green too. I loved the way the book is visually written describing the places and people so vividly without becoming a really sterile guide to motorhoming and Europe. Sharing their journey means we can all think about our own possible travels in our own way, big or small motorhomes, short or long trips. The book was a great read and the index of campsites at the back really useful, a definate addition to the practical motorhoming and travel guides on my bookshelf.
