Many review already speak about this book as about the book which brings people into belief. Perhaps belief in God. Marie Corelli certainly had the great imagination and fantasy but also at the same time, very logic and rational mind to be able describe the world behind or after - the way she did in this book. I admire her for her courage to explain Christianity with such certainty. I admire her deeply for opening her complicated soul to us and share her vision of the other world. I admire her for the power, she gives by this book; the way she packed her vision into the lovely story about a young lady - pianist - which was sick of this world, sick of hypocrisy and sick of the rules which she had to follow when she improvised. A young lady which was sent to some physiotherapist with the special feature or power to recharge not only the body, but the mind. The power, which brought his patient on the trip behind our current world.
But what is lovely about this book is that Marie Corelli doesn't speak about God as it is understand in churches, but about the Creator, or about the one, which give the energy called soul when we walk the way of our life. The book is only for those, who are spiritually oriented with great imagination and universal mind. I can't say that I agree with her philosophy in this book. (as I am not Christian but rather Believer in the one from her book "Sorrow of Satan"). But the book inspired me for purity and genuineness. Example? Love. When you love somebody, you love her/him no matter if you meet again in your life or not. You love her/his aura - energy no matter what circumstances are. This book inspires a reader for crystalizing personal creed the way as hardly any masterpiece ever does.
