An excellent resource - Rated I have recently purchased the "Broadview Guide to Writing" for my university course, and it has been invaluable. It offers tips and information on all aspects of reading and writing at university standard, for example it details the MLA citation style, tips on spelling, punctuation and grammar, sample essays and the process of writing. I believe it is well worth the money, as this book will continue to be of use throughout my course. Even if not a university student, this book would be a constant companion for any writer, be they academic or not. It is very easy to read and is divided into clear sections, with a helpful index. For anyone intimidated by the prospect of writing, this book is fantastic; I would recommend it (and, indeed I am!) to anyone interested in writing, and the more critical aspects of the discipline. 5 stars!!
