This book will hold your hand every step of the way. - Rated 5/5
I built a greenhouse last summer. Without this book I would still be struggling to get things right. Whenever I was confused or frustrated, this book was there to help out. If you are considering a greenhouse, GET THIS BOOK. If you already own a greenhouse, GET THIS BOOK. Everything you could want to know is covered. It is amusing and written in plain old garden speak. You will recognise in the author, a fellow gardener with dirty fingernails, just like yours!!!

Too much repeating info, no natural insect control, and OLD - Rated 1/5
Why do authors repeat info page after page? half the book is not worth reading if you aren't growing all the hundreds of plants it list, each page has a seperate page with mostly the same info as the page before over and over and over. Its find if you read one and skip the rest that you could care less about, but then there is only 200 pages of not very exciting info. But the big deal is that I found these processes out of date and could not get Any of the phone numbers it list. Does the author think that the greenhouse industry has been sleeping for 10 years? I think he forgot that thousands of new products and designs that take the worry out of this fun hobby. But after all this I would buy this and all books on greenhouse because one idea is worth the money!

Same stuf in most gardening books! - Rated 2/5
My problem with this well written book is that it is OLD, the proccesses decribe about greenhouses and pictures has to be 20 years old The greenhouse industry has made so many big new changes lately that old ways are not the best. It is not a good source for serious growers and that the greenhouse info is good only if you plan to use it on a old greenhouse.Half the book has info on growing plants that you can find simular info in hundreds of good gardening books. This book has too many old addresses and phone numbers and I could not find any most of these. Try a new edition of what ever greenhouse book you buy to really be successful and have more fun with this great hobby!

Excellent - Rated 5/5
This is the first book you should buy if you're starting to garden in a greenhouse. It may be all you need. Does not cover building a greenhouse, but covers every thing else.

Most practical, concise, easy-to-use book on greenhouses. - Rated 5/5
This book is so well-organized that even though its absolutely packed with information on so many aspects of greenhouse growing, its easy to find what you need at any given time. Initially it was so helpful to me in getting started and now it is my best reference book. I particularly loved the design, pollinating and propagating sections, and the advice for individual flowers, vegetables and herbs. The information about plants that like it cool/warm or shady/sunny helps me decide on seeding dates and locations. There are plenty of practical tips, lists, appendices, charts and inserts.
