If, like me, you wish to make garden planters, troughs and benches; then this book is not ideal - regardless of the 'cover picture' very little concerns the above. It will teach me not to judge a book by its cover! Far too 'arty-farty' - it ought to be called 'Arts & Craft Concrete''.....of course, if that's what you want..... useful and practical - Rated If you're looking for technical advice on how to use concerte to sculpt anything from huge outdoor monuments to small desktop ornaments, or looking for insipration from artists who've spent ages doing it then this is a useful book. Its got several recipies for different mixes which removes lots of trial and error for a beginner. There are step by step illustrated guides and its all quite readable. Lots of impressive projects to get you going and learn the practical aspects. I use mine loads. Concrete is so cheap and easy to use and yet the finished articles so expensive to buy, it makes this book a great investment
