Clear, relevant, with no compromise - Rated Mark Driscoll is something of a controversial figure in Seattle, where the church he established at the age of 26 is based. Regularly picketed, his sermons are characterised by very strong reformed theology, and usually a great deal of humour. While some may find this book a little raw (he's not known for being subtle, as his sermons on sex illustrate), he manages to communicate the foundations of biblical gospel in a way that is very engaging and entertaining. I would easily give this book to friends who have Jesus and religion confused. While the theology is actually quite heavy, the presentation is very readable and very enjoyable. If you are a young Christian, or just curious about who Jesus actually is, I would strongly urge you to pick up a copy. Great theology, great read. - Rated In Vintage Jesus, Driscoll presents clear accurate teaching about Jesus in a very challenging, yet humourous and easily readable way. Gerry Breshears contribution of 'Answers to common Questions' at the end of each chapter was also very helpful and thought provoking. I can't recommend it highly enough.
