This book is full of great information that is well presented and planned out. It is great to pick up to have a quick look at or read in more detail. Either way you'll get some inspiration to actually go to some of these great places or just sit on your sofa and dream.There are great pictures!
An Amazing World Travel Book! - Rated
What a fantastic book! The first quarter of the book is devoted to top 10 lists of world travel. This section is interesting but it is the main part of the book that is the highlight. What we have are 64 of lonely planets top tourist countries. 3 pages are devoted to each country and the countries are organised by continents. There are nice pics along with an array of tourists tips to give you a real flavour for each of the 64 countries.
Initially I was disappointed that my own country, Scotland, wasn't included in the European section. But I guess there is a limit to just how many European countries can be included. Holland, Ireland, Germany and Russia for instance are also not included. However, at the end of each continent there are a couple of paragraphs devoted to such countries.
So there you have it - every country in the world reviewed. 64 of them in depth. It's fascinating reading and could make a great starting point for choosing which country to visit next. Alternatively, like me, it provides a few hours of reading about every country in the world.
Without a doubt 10/10.

This is pure inspiration for all those places you should go and see. Perfect if you've run out of ideas or just want to do something different. It's better than the BBC equivalent (...things to do before you die) which stays much more on the well trodden track.
Worth the money to inspire your travels for the next ten years.
