I hate this book! - Rated 
However, my 3 year old loves it! It is the most annoying book in the world to read, and I regularly hide it, to no avail, it always gets found.
The pictures are great, big, bright and colourful, but the words and rhymes are so dull, and nonsensical, amd a real bore to read.
Choose something else!

This is my son's favourite bedtime read. It looks at all different types of rescue vehicles, with a great rhyming text and the perfect length for bedtime reading. As with Dig Dig Digging (another book by the same authors), this has a repetitive area of text that allows the child to join in, which they seem to love.

Our son Oscar loves this book! He's also a fan of Choo-Choo by the same team (Margaret Mayo and Alex Ayliffe) - plenty of vibrant, bold double-page illustrations and fun words to learn too when he's older.
As a parent (Dad!) I find this series great fun too, which is more than can be said for some other books we've purchased. There's so much to see on each page here I suspect this book will not go out of favour for some time, making it great value too!
Finally, as vehicle books go this one is particularly good as it goes beyond the standard cars and trucks and introduces more unusual contraptions (such as a train crane lifting a fallan tree off the tracks, a moutain rescue helicopter, a lifeboat - and more).
Excellent stuff, cannot recommend it highly enough.

My little boy loves this book. He reads along with us all the time especially when he can make the sounds of the vehicles.
The pictures keep him intereseted too, giving him many things to point out as we read along.
This book is great from the ages of 20months right up to teaching your children to read.
