Fantastic - Rated
I am, by the admission of both myself and my chemistry teacher, pretty dire at the subject. However, this book was so useful in explaining things in a consise and clear manner, without being patronising or boring. I needed everything from the very basics to the more complicated things and this gave it all. I also know people who are very good at chemistry who found it just as useful as well! It's recommended by my school and for good reason. My only problem is that I do seperate sciences so there are a few topics in the syllabus that this doesn't cover (contact process, hard and soft water etc) but as long as you are aware of this and revise these topics aswell the books wonderful.

All in all. I highly recommend this set (Chemistry, Biology & Physics) of books for anyone taking GCSE Double Science. I found it an invaluable revision aide.

Colourful, Funny, and Informative - Rated
We all know that chemistry can be a bit boring when we aren't doing experiments. Like when we have to learn pages of chemical equations, and explanations about why our experiments work. If I told you that there was a fun way to learn chemistry, would you believe me? Because that is exactly what I'm about to tell you!

This book has hundreds of colourful diagrams, and actually makes learning fun! The text is simple without being patronising, and has all the facts. It tells you exactly what you need to know, without going into unnecessary detail. However, it is detailed enough to get you through the exam. I gained an A in chemistry at GCSE, and I personally feel that I wouldn't have been able to do that without the help of this book. Try it, and start on the path to chemical success!

Excellent content. All of the necessary information is included with the key words and phrases highlighted. It doesn't insult anyones intelligence and gives extra information that will move grades up. A definite buy for those studying GCSE Biology.
