Fantastic - Rated 5/5
Wow this 2nd book really give a fantastic twist. Your thrown into the world of the enemy from the word go. Its life from the other side. For a further twist your taken off to the world of yet another group of very powerfull immortals (the wilds). Who have all been hiding away for a millenia or two. Left wanting more just as with the first book.

Sloggish! - Rated 3/5
Whilst I enjoyed the first of this trilogy and moved immediately into the second book the story just seemed to drop off. You find yourself reading not because you are compelled to see what happens next but to see if anything does happen at all. Although the final quarter of the book makes the first 3 quarters seem more worthwhile I found the constant character switching ruined any flow the book may have had. I just wish more happened! With so many characters involved how can so little happen in so many pages!

Having said that the writing style is impeccable and if you are a fan of Trudi's I'd definitely give it a go!

Brilliant book but rushed ending - Rated 4/5
This book wonderfully carried on from the 2 previous books perfectly and it didnt lose its appeal at all. I couldnt put it down.

However, the reason I didnt give it 5/5 is because I think the ending was too predictable and written in a rush (drawn out ending). It never seemed to finish.

I would still say read it tho, well worth it

pointless book and again it could do with being shorter - Rated 3/5
pointless. at the end of this you feel like nothing has changed and if you skiped it i bet you wouldn't even notice. still don't give up the next ones much better. the reason i didn't give it two stars is because i did find some things intresting even if it wasn't inportant. this book has to be the reason that this series wasn't as good as the black magican trilogy. hope you all enjoyed the first one as much as i did.

This was amazing!!! - Rated 5/5
I found this book fantastic and although this is soooo cliche 'i couldn't put it down'. It was hard for me to get into at first but after the first 2 chapters it was fantastic. As i said - i loved it. I found it as good as the Magicians Guild Trilogy, maybe better.
