The Best Out There - Rated
I have bought everything on Panama, so I feel qualified to comment. Some look good, but aren't honest. Some promise lots but don't deliver. This one is true. It's a proper guide - with personality, but not so much you drown in the opinions of the author. I get the impression this author really enjoyed Panama, buy she doesn't go overboard. She enjects just the right amount of enthusiam in the right places and is honest about the bad stuff. It makes you trust her judgement - a valuable quality, and one that is missing from many guidebooks on the market. A guide should be just that - A GUIDE - and this is a very good one. Take it from me, I know
panama the bradt travel guide - Rated
Although I have not yet travelled to Panama, I have been collecting the various travel guides on Panama for the last 5 years. I had no idea that the Bradt guides existed and was delighted to find they had produced a most excellent guide on this little visited country. My interest is a particular area of Panama the San Blas archipelago and Kuna Yala. The information in this book went one step further than any other Panamanian travel guide. It really painted a picture of these paradise islands. Furthermore the information was presented in a fresh lively way with suggestions as to where to go for further information. I have read a lot about Kuna Yala and this seems to capture all. I recommend this book if for nothing else but a good read and a lot more besides.

There is no better guide to Panama on the market - Rated
I bumped into the author during her period of research in Panama and was struck by her enthusiasm for the country. Also by the extraordinary attention to detail she employed along the way. The result is a guide that has lots of info that isn't in any of the others on the market - and I'm certain this is because she won over local Panamanians via her obvious keen interest and dedication. You may not know of Bradt as it's a small, independent UK publisher but that is no reason to buy any other guide over the Bradt Guide to Panama. Forget brand awareness and purchase this guidebook, especially if your primary concern is buying the best guide to Panama possible as opposed to one that is run-of-the-mill.
A must-read for anyone travelling to or interested in Panama - Rated
