A real 'Ooh' book - Rated I love this book! Yes, a coffee table picture book, but packed full of inspirational homes that offer wonderful ideas for modern living in a period setting. When you read the text, you understand the love - and usually money - that has been lavished on these homes, and though most of us can't hope to compete with some of the grander schemes, there is so much that can be used on a smaller scale for our own design ideas. And we all need a dream! This is a wonderful book for anyone who loves old houses and conversions, and a real joy to have on the bookshelf. It gives great advice on sourcing furniture & fabrics to add to the feel of your period. Lots of great photographs and plenty of "ooo" moments.
