Ashigaru - Japanese Light Feet - Lightweight - Rated The Author is knowledgable and cannot be faulted. The booklet is interesting and informative. It is however poorly bound and the diagrams are childlike. This one is for the kids. I enjoyed it. My inner child at work again! Fun reading... - Rated This book describes the history of the Japanese foot soldier. It's very interesting to learn something about Japanese soldiers other than the samurai. The book reads very easy. Unfortunately it is not very long, and could go into more detail. If you allready own some information on the Ashigaru, you'll probably read nothing new. Personal conclusion: I'm very happy with it, and glad I bought the book...

This book describes the history of the Japanese foot soldier. It's very interesting to learn something about Japanese soldiers other than the samurai. The book reads very easy. Unfortunately it is not very long, and could go into more detail. If you allready own some information on the Ashigaru, you'll probably read nothing new. Personal conclusion: I'm very happy with it, and glad I bought the book...
