Customer Reviews

A brilliant book and every single page in letters. - Rated 5/5
A great book with its clues along the way, well writen by the author with its humerous moments and dramatic turns. It's about two people with two completely different lifestyles, one rich one poor. It all begins when a boy called Damian Drake rescues his dog from down aa well. A girl called Fraancis Bond writes after seeing his picture in the local news paper, and it all leads to a dramatic but fun ending. They find it very hard to keep it up with Damian's over protective parents and Frankie's nosy brother. A brilliant book aged for children around 9 to 12 certainly one to read - the story is unbelievably exciting.

When you have read one letter you will carry on reading. - Rated 5/5
Damian has just rescued his dog and his name was printed all over the papers and Frances Bond starts sending letters.Damian has never met this girl but really wants to meet her. They both keep sending letters to each other and start getting more and more friendly. From them sending letters a long friendship starts.

This could be a good book depending on what kind of book you like. This book should be aimed at 9-13 year olds.It is a good book because it is a mysterious story and you have to work things out.At the end there is a drama which is solved.

The story is a story which you have to fill in the gaps. This book is not like a story it is letters but is not boring. It is a book which will make you read through it.

When you start reading you will never stop. - Rated 5/5
This story of a boy called Damian Drake and a girl called Frances Bond is a story with a difference. The story is a bunch of letters where you have to fill in the gaps. It is a really good story because it's different and very interesting. Damian rescues his dog from an old well and his name goes in the paper. As the letters get more and more detailed a terrible thing happens. Damian is very different in lots of ways to Frances (also known asFrankie). They meet up once but the second time is a DISASTER!

This book is fascinating, fun and enjoyable ! - Rated 5/5
This book is about two children, one rich, one poor, who are brought together by a picture in the newspaper. The more they write the more they realise what they have in common. But Frankie's brother and his gang heve other plans! This book is suitable for ages 9-13. You should enjoy this book, because it contains lots of drama when it gathers speed towards the end, when the clues start to appear! But good spellers beware: these letters have been produced, exactly as written. So some words are purposely spelt wrongly, or differently.

If you read this book you won't take your eyes off it - Rated 5/5
The Deathwood Letters is a well written, interesting book about two people who start writing to each other because Damian Drake rescued his dog from a well and he got in the paper. This book carries on with lots of clues - the reader has to work out the exciting ending. The author doesn't describe the characters much but when you get into the book you get to know the characters well.I would recommend this book for people from 7-12.If you are a good speller there are lots of spelling mistakes because it has been copied in the book as they would spell them.
