Beautifully written - Rated This book is fantastic, I am currently reading it to my 6 year old daughter to give her a better understanding of why her 10 year old brother does the things he does and says the things he says! This is ideal for children & adults - carers and teachers alike. It may be a short book but it is concise and describes the condition as seen through an 11 year olds eyes perfectly. What we all need to know - Rated Sofie's book is inspirational she gives us her view on what she likes, loves and hates and her understanding of thngs. This alone is very hard for a child on the Autistic spectrum. The book enables us as parents and professionals and more importantly it helps others to re-evaluate their attitudes and language to enhance the progress of children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder. As for my son who has Aspergers, found the book entertaining and very easy to understand and recognised the comparisons between his and Sofie life.It gave him a sense of not being alone. Overall this book is an education tool to use in schools so other children can experience the world of a child on the Autistic Spectrum like Sofie and many others.
