Helpful book with great photo's - Rated
This I think is a book for beginners. It is generously sized and includes actual photographs of each of the projects being demonstrated. It doesn't contain a great deal of text, working mainly with lists of what you need then showing you exactly what to do. There is a good range of projects covering just about any seating upholstery project you might want to tackle. I particularly like the photo's showing where various tools are used (as a beginner, some of the pins and needles look rather oddly shaped to me so its good to see what they are actually meant for!). Well worth buying.

In spite of the book contains the huge information about reupholstering the old furniture No new methods described. For example the polyurethane foam is not a deal- the only horse hair and so on. The method of material calculations not included also like as you already have the fabrics factory in your home and don't need to by the fabrics.
In any case the book can be helpfull for the people who is interesting in remodeling of old armchairs or chairs in conjunction with old master secrets. Just be prepared to have all necessary materials in your hands.

This beautiful, inspirational book seduced me into believing that I could reupholster an antique sofa of tricky dimensions. The gorgeous photographs, clear illustrations and sensible step-by-step instructions were logical and easy to follow. The completion of each stage was satisfying and thrilling and enhanced my confidence in my ability to complete the project. to a professional level. The final result is a pleasingly luxurious and elegant sofa. I can't believe I did it myself and treasure the book that made it possible.
