Great Read in 2 sittings - Rated
This book was bought as a present for my partner and so when she'd finished I sneaked a peek and read the whole thing in two sittings.
Fresh, vibrant and opinionated and - ok so you might not agree with everything she says (e.g. not sure you should never say no in the workplace!)
However, it is her outspoken-ness that makes this book such a refreshing read.
Really enjoyed this and it prompted me to right a review saying so!
Great Book - Rated
I really enjoyed this book ,it makes you want to get out of your comfort zone and enjoy life. I've read it many times since I bought it.
Life's long enough for basic research - Rated
The book is attractively presented and the reader might expect an individualist, left-field view of life from this distinctive personality to emerge amongst the over-large print and pictures. Instead, its 176 pages of autobiography and, alas, self-congratulatory piffle, culminate in telling the reader that she shouldn't worry her pretty head with "having a set of rules you can't live up to (ethics)" but instead visit a "charity" Web site written by "independent scientists".
Enter the name of the organisation into a search engine and you'll see the truth listed: it's another wing of the pro-GM food lobby. What does that say about any journalist? This is a book that encourages inertia, not empowerment. Very disappointing.
Funny & True... - Rated
Funny & True, you can almost here JSP speaking as you read. A great read - I would highly reccomend it.
She says out loud what we all know and think. - Rated
Really easy read, the pages have colouring, graphics and the text more of a magazine format than book. You get a real sense that shes talking to you as you read the snippets of thoughts she has about all sorts of weird and funny things. Janet highlights a lot of ironic issues that we all have about ourselves and society but are too polite to mention. I found it unlifting and funny and read the whole book in less than 5 days.
