disturbing read - Rated Beautifully written biography. Recommended but a warning that the content of this book is very disturbing. Izzy suffered horrific abuse throughout the years including a gang rape. Izzy's abuse began with her father in a household where her parents were disabled and she had no one to turn to. As a result of being abused Izzy went onto a life of misery involving drugs, crime and further abuse. Suffering from low self esteem Izzy plunders from one disastrous relationship to another. This is at times a very hard read and moved me to tears in the chapter dealing with the gang rape. How the writer has survived such a horrific attack and managed to write about it is truly heartwrenching The happy ending that the reader will wish for Izzy has yet to materialise as it is an ongoing struggle for her to come to terms with the tragic events that have passed. I wish the writer well and feel her book would be an inspiration to any person who finds themselves in similar situations.
